I am wondering what the trends are in different European cities. What do young men and women wear on the beach, while walking around beach-front shops and restaurants, on the boardwalk (if they have those?) and around town in European beach cities? Thanks.

Every country and every region has its own rules and regulations about what to wear and what not to wear so…..
generally sandals, shorts and shirts for men, skirt, blouse/bikini and sandals for women

I am 21 and im going with my boyfriend who is 19. I would love a beach resort style vaca. Wanna go in aug or sept, curious if the ocean will be warm enough to swim that time of year. Also, is their any beach towns in california you would recommend?

I need to know how long people have gone to beaches. If you can’t figure that out do you know what the worlds first beach is called?

There is no way to tell which was the first beach as beaches predate life on earth. Even if you could tell the beach would have been gone for millions of years.
As for how long people have gone to beaches that would be about the same length of time as there have been people.

I am planning to go on a holiday to the Italian Riviera. All flights go to Genoa, so I was wondering what is the nearest beach resort to Genoa, as I know it is a port city and there are no beaches there. And how do I get to that nearest beach? Although not being the nearest I actually had San Remo in mind. Please advise. Thank you.

We had fun making this video… the girls in the background were on purpose… we had a hard time trying to find people who would hold still long enough for us to get them in the shots… she was being very real… she has had a tough time with life but she is trying harder now then ever to do the next right thing… we just thought the video would work better if we had a little fun with it.

I have beach grass in my yard that I am researching, but I can’t find any sources. It dies over the winter, but now little green blades are shooting up through it like there’s nothing dead there. Can anyone give me any sites or straight info on beach grass?

There are a couple of species of what is commonly referred to as Beach Grass. One is native of the Atlantic coast and the other is a native of Europe.

Both are perennials with rhizomes.

Your beach grass is not actually dying and coming back. It is simply going into a dormant phase and then regenerating its foliage.

When you believe that the grass has "died", try putting your fingers down into the soil and feel for the network of roots that are still there. These would have to be entirely removed or sprayed with an appropriate herbicide in order to actually
kill the plant.

This is one reason that this plant (European Beach Grass) is such a pest along the Pacific shores, because it is difficult to remove and crowds out the native grasses and vegetation of coastal dunes.

A young American man, Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio), travels to Thailand. During a stay on Khaosan Road in Bangkok, he meets a mysterious man named Daffy (Robert Carlyle), who tells him about a secret beach paradise. Richard then heads for southern Thailand in search of the island. Along the way, he is befriended by a young French couple, Françoise (Virginie Ledoyen) and Étienne (Guillaume Canet), and he shares the secret of the island with them.

The three then strike out across the water with inflatable bags and whatever they can carry. They reach the island, where they find a huge marijuana plantation. Heading further inland, they eventually find the hidden beach, where a small, suspicious clan of Western travellers has settled, and is led by a strong-willed woman, Sal (Tilda Swinton).

The three newcomers then struggle to find their place in the Utopian community.
